COUMARIN AND ITS DERIVATIVES ARE KNOWN TO POSSESS A WIDE RANGE OF BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING ANTI-HIV, ANTI-BIOTIC, ANTI-FUNGAL, ANTI-BACTERIAL, ANTI-OXIDANT, ANTI-CANCER, AND ANTI-COAGULANT [1-4]. AMONG VARIOUS DERIVATIVES OF COUMARIN, BISCOUMARINS HAVE AROUSED CONSIDERABLE INTEREST. THEY ARE USUALLY PREPARED FROM THE REACTION OF ALDEHYDES WITH TWO EQUIVALENTS OF 4-HYDROXYCOUMARIN IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST.

چکیده: 

W-doped ZnO nanocomposite (W-ZnO) is easily prepared and characterized using a variety of techniques including XRD, TEM, BET, ICP-OES and SEM. This reagent can be used as an efficient and heterogeneous catalyst for the preparation of BISCOUMARINS in water under mild conditions.Easy preparation of the catalyst, mild reaction conditions, easy work-up procedure, excellent yields and short reaction times are some of the advantages of this work. In addition, in this article and for the first time, the preparation of BISCOUMARINS from the protected derivatives of aldehydes including oximes, hydrazones and 1, 1-diacetates is reported.

چکیده: 

A novel catalytic synthesis of 3, 3' - (arylmethylene) -bis- (4-hydroxy-2H-chromene-2-one) derivatives from a tandem condensation reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin and aromatic aldehydes has been developed. The reaction occurs in water in the presence of Melamine trisulfonic acid as catalyst to give the corresponding products in good to high yields. This green approach has several advantages such as short reaction times, clean reaction profiles, and simple experimental and workup procedures. Moreover, the catalyst can be easily recovered by filtration and used at least seven times with only slight reduction in its catalytic activity. The results of the presented protocol in comparison with the different available catalysts in condensation reaction of benzaldehyde with 4-Hydroxycoumarin show that MTSA presented better results due to the structure of MTSA.

AN EFFICIENT ONE POT APPROACH FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF DIHYDROPYRANO [3, 2-C] CHROMENESANDBISCOUMARINS AS IMPORTANT HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS WITH PHARMACOLOGICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES HAVE BEEN PREPARED USING NANOCRYSTALLINE MAGNESIUM OXIDE. MAGNESIUM OXIDE NANOPARTICLES WERE SIGNIFICANTLY CATALYZED THREE COMPONENT REACTION OF ALDEHYDES, ETHYLCYANOACETAT AND 4-HYDROXYCOUMARIN IN HIGH YIELDS AND SHORT REACTION TIMES UNDER SOLVENT-FREE CONDITIONS. NANO MAGNESIUM OXIDE AS AN EFFICIENT, AVAILABLE AND CHEAP HETEROGENEOUS NANOPARTICLES WERE USED FOR SEVERAL TIMES IN THE SYNTHESIS OF DIHYDROPYRANO [3, 2-C] CHROMENES AND BISCOUMARINS.
